Swiss Fugitive Arrested in Morocco for Child Exploitation Charges

The judicial police of Béni Mellal, in collaboration with the General Directorate of Territorial Surveillance (DGST), proceeded on Friday to the arrest of a Swiss citizen.
The latter was the subject of an international arrest warrant issued by the Swiss authorities for his alleged involvement in a case of sexual exploitation of minors.
The 62-year-old suspect is accused of producing and publishing pornographic content in addition to the sexual exploitation of minors. These charges led to the issuance of an arrest warrant against him on June 15.
The computer equipment found in the possession of the Swiss national is currently undergoing expert analysis to verify the existence of evidence, according to the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) in a press release.
Following his arrest, the individual was placed in custody, pending his possible extradition to Switzerland.
