Swiss Extremist Arrested in Morocco for Links to Tourist Murders and Terror Plot

A Swiss national suspected of being linked to the murder of the two Swiss nationals in the Imill region has just been arrested by the police.
"The accused, imbued with extremist and violent ideology, is suspected of teaching some of the accused in this case the communication tools via new applications and of training them in shooting," says a statement from the Central Bureau of Judicial Investigation (BCIJ).
"His adherence to the recruitment of Moroccans and sub-Saharan Africans for the execution of terrorist plans in Morocco, targeting foreign interests and security force elements, in order to seize their service weapons," the same source said.
The man, who also holds Spanish nationality, was taken into custody, according to the statement, which states that the investigation will "shed light on all the criminal acts and terrorist plans he planned to perpetrate or participate in their execution".
To recall, on December 17, the bodies of two foreign tourists were found near Mount Toubkal.
