Swimmers Caught Smuggling 35 kg of Hashish from Morocco to Spanish Enclave

The Civil Guard of Ceuta has arrested two Moroccans, who were swimming from Morocco to the coast of Ceuta, in possession of 35 kilos of hashish.
The maritime service transferred the two Moroccan traffickers MM, 22 years old, and MY, 25 years old, to its base and found that they were carrying two packages containing approximately 35 kilos of hashish. They were arrested as alleged perpetrators of a drug trafficking crime.
With the closure of borders for health reasons, this practice has become common lately. Several Moroccans have already been arrested and convicted in Ceuta for drug trafficking to sentences of more than 3 years in prison.
The two Moroccans will be brought to justice. As for the 35 kilos of hashish seized, they have been deposited with the competent service of the government delegation.
