Suspected Moroccan Spy Balloons Detected in Canary Islands Airspace

Spanish air traffic controllers have detected the presence of supposed Moroccan "spy balloons" in the airspace of the Canary Islands.
Thanks to Flightradar24, which allows real-time tracking of the position of aircraft and other flying objects, Spanish air traffic controllers have detected the presence of these balloons flying over the airspace of the Canary Islands at altitudes higher than commercial flights, reports HuffPost.
The presence of these balloons in the airspace of the Canary Islands raises questions, especially since this air route is one of the busiest in Europe. According to the Preferente website, these balloons are used for surveillance and intelligence missions.
For now, the mission of these balloons, which are actually hot air balloons, coming from Morocco is not known. Air traffic controllers shared the information on their X account, sparking a wave of reactions from users of this social network.
