A suspected member of the Mocro maffia falls in Ceuta

Elements of the Drugs and Organized Crime Unit (Udyco) of Ceuta have arrested this Thursday an individual, suspected to be close to the Mocro maffia, accused of several crimes including a kidnapping in Catalonia.
The suspect was arrested in the Príncipe neighborhood for his alleged involvement in the kidnapping and sequestration of a man for several days in Catalonia "for a case related to international drug trafficking," according to the statement from the National Police Directorate of Ceuta.
The defendant would be linked to the Mocro maffia, the Moroccan mafia active in Belgium and the Netherlands, and specialized in organized crime, international drug and arms trafficking and money laundering, reports Europa Press.
His arrest follows several months of investigation, conducted by the Udyco under the supervision of the Court of First Instance of El Prat de Llobregat (Barcelona), "on serious crimes related to members of criminal organizations operating in the city, as well as those operating in the rest of the Spanish territory."
The criminal will be brought before the Court of First Instance of Ceuta in the next few hours.
