Suspected Coronavirus Cases at Casablanca Airport Prompt Emergency Response

Three foreign nationals, 2 Belgians and a Spaniard, suspected of having contracted the coronavirus, were urgently taken to Moulay Youssef hospital in Casablanca last Wednesday.
The European citizens, who were accompanied by a Moroccan woman, were at Mohammed V airport for undisclosed reasons, and showed signs of respiratory infection.
The two Belgians, born in 1961 and 1963, as well as the woman in her fifties, were admitted to the Casablanca hospital, while the 62-year-old Spanish citizen was transferred to the Mogador hotel.
According to the press release from the Ministry of Health, the number of confirmed Covid-19 cases reached 1,346 on April 9, including 103 recoveries and 96 deaths.
