Suspect Arrested in Murder of 5-Year-Old Naïma in Morocco

A few days after the discovery of the lifeless body of 5-year-old Naïma, a man was arrested by the elements of the Royal Gendarmerie of Aglemous, in the Khénifra region. He would be involved in the murder of the child.
The arrested individual is said to have disappeared at the time the victim’s body was discovered in Zagora. He was arrested in Khénifra. Investigators revealed that the suspect had gone to his cousin’s just after the body was discovered. The investigation is still ongoing to uncover the reasons and circumstances of this crime. Naïma, who disappeared on August 16 in Zagora, was found dead on September 26, to the great distress of her parents who were hoping to see her alive again.
The day after this tragic discovery, the Ouarzazate prosecutor’s office declared that it had opened an investigation to determine the exact circumstances of the tragedy. The hypothesis of a kidnapping followed by rape and murder is not ruled out. With the arrest of this suspect, everything suggests that the case will have a judicial outcome.
Furthermore, the fact that the young child who, according to her parents, only went out accompanied, disappeared, deserves that the circumstances be determined, so that the parents can mourn. The possibility that it was a kidnapping and rape remains very plausible. Especially since the place where the body was found had been searched several times.
