Survey: Most Americans Unable to Locate Iran on World Map

A recent survey on the geographical location of Iran has revealed that nearly a quarter of American participants place this Middle Eastern country in France, Morocco, and even the USA.
The inhabitants of the Uncle Sam’s country have barely managed to identify Iran on a world map. Out of the 2,000 people surveyed, only 28% were able to locate it on a map of the Middle East.
In the category of Americans aged 18 and over, only 23% were able to locate the Islamic Republic of Iran on a world map, while 28% were able to do so on a map of the Middle East. According to the same survey, several participants completely missed the mark by pointing to France or even Morocco.
According to the organizers of this survey, it would be difficult to know if the participants wanted to "distort" the survey or if they have real gaps in geography. The same source also specifies that men (38%) were more numerous in correctly locating Iran than women (20%).
When questioned about the death of Iranian general Qassem Soleimani on the night of January 2-3, 49% said they had "a lot" heard about it, 47% supported Trump’s decision, and 40% opposed it. Furthermore, more than two-thirds (69%) foresee a war with Iran.
