Study: One-Third of Moroccans Report Experiencing Racial Discrimination

According to a study conducted by the Arab Barometer on racial discrimination in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, a third of Moroccans have been victims of racism.
Conducted among citizens in 10 MENA countries, the survey by the independent and non-partisan research network examines the problem of racial discrimination and hostility towards black-skinned people in their various countries.
According to the results, 43% of Moroccans believe that discrimination against black-skinned people is a problem within society, compared to 26% who said that racial discrimination is more problematic, the study specifies.
For those who consider that racial discrimination is a problem, as opposed to racism against black-skinned people, this rate is 8% in Morocco. In addition, 15% of Moroccans consider that racial discrimination against black-skinned people is a problem, but not racial discrimination.
