Storm Disrupts Ferry Service Between Spain and Morocco, Stranding Travelers

Unfavorable weather conditions related to the storm led to the cancellation of all maritime links between Tarifa and Tangier on Saturday. A situation that directly impacted travelers, particularly Moroccans residing abroad (MRE).
The Port Authority of the Bay of Algeciras (APBA) announced yesterday the cancellation of several ferry departures from the port of Tarifa. This measure was taken due to strong winds and sea conditions in the Strait area.
Three crossings by the FRS Iberia company, scheduled for 1:00 pm, 5:00 pm and 9:00 pm, were canceled on Saturday. The 8:00 pm departure operated by Africa Morocco Link was also canceled. It is therefore advisable to check the availability of boats before going to the port of Tarifa.
The port of Algeciras, for its part, is currently maintaining its links with Ceuta and Tangier. However, the APBA recommends that passengers check updated information with the shipping companies and port authorities, as the weather situation may evolve.
