Stranded Moroccan Soccer Stars in Saudi Arabia Seek Special Flight Home

Moroccan players, who find themselves stranded in the Gulf countries, particularly in Saudi Arabia, express the desire to return home. They are asking the Moroccan authorities to allow them to charter a special plane.
The Moroccan professionals, Abderrazak Hamdallah, Marouane Saadane and Amine El Attouchi, who play respectively for the Saudi clubs An-Nasr, Al Fath and Abha, have addressed a request to the Moroccan ambassador in Riyadh, to inform him of their intention to join their families. They only hope for one thing from him: an authorization to charter a special plane to reach Morocco.
These players assure that they have the means to rent a private plane regardless of the price to pay. In an interview with the Saudi press, Marouane Saadane declares that football comes after people’s health. According to him, the world can overcome this pandemic if and only if people strictly respect the recommendations and measures taken by the authorities.
