Stranded Moroccan Praises Morocco’s COVID-19 Response from Spain

A Moroccan stranded in Bilbao, Spain, addressed the authorities of his country, praising the remarkable efforts deployed to curb the covid-19 pandemic.
Amine Benkassine, a 39-year-old young man from Casablanca, found himself in the same uncomfortable situation as the 22,000 Moroccans stranded around the world.
On a business trip to Spain on March 1, he was supposed to return to the country on the same day that Morocco decided to suspend flights between the kingdom and its Iberian neighbor.
Confined for more than a month in this country, far from his family, he is patiently waiting for his next return to Morocco. Supported by the Moroccan consulate in Bilbao, he applauded, in a video that has gone viral, the invaluable efforts of the kingdom to curb this virus that has devastated great economic and global powers and tested several modern health systems.
Regarding their repatriation and in the current health context, he recommends to the authorities patience and preparation in order not to "solve a catastrophe with another".
