Stranded Frenchman Converts Broken 2CV into Makeshift Motorcycle in Sahara Desert

A Frenchman had a particular experience in the Sahara desert. His vehicle broke down while he was on a raid in the desert. He manages to transform it into a motorcycle to survive.
A Citroën 2CV that has seen its glory days did not have a good reputation with Emily Leray. The vehicle broke down while it was in the desert, in the Sahara in 1993. This mechanic used his knowledge and know-how to transform the damaged vehicle into a motorcycle. With half the chassis, screws and an improvised hammer, he created a rudimentary motorcycle, without brakes, which allowed him to continue his raid in the desert, reports Autoplus.fr.
The 43-year-old Frenchman arrives in Mauritania. Prevented by a military patrol from advancing, he turns around and heads north. On his way, he crosses a military SUV that brings him help. In the eyes of some, his story was unlikely. His makeshift motorcycle will be seized. He pays a fine, as the vehicle was not approved. Three months pass. Emily gets his motorcycle back after spending a large sum of money. Since then, he has not parted with it.
