Stolen Paris Bike Found Morocco TikTok Viral Recovery
A cyclist lost his two-wheeler at Longchamp in August 2025. Against all odds, he traced his possession thousands of kilometers away, in Morocco, thanks to a simple video posted on social media.
The story begins when Greg, a member of the Meudon club, has his golden Lapierre model stolen—a gift for his 40th birthday—right after a training session on the famous Parisian ring. The alert launched on the Strava app initially yields nothing, until the item appears in a TikTok post offering it for sale in Rabat.
Faced with this discovery, the victim immediately contacts the French embassy. As Le Parisien points out, Moroccan police services take over and manage to dismantle a fencing operation, recovering the equipment just in time after it had already been resold twice in the country.

To bring the bike back from over 2,000 kilometers away, the victim was able to count on a friend vacationing in Morocco, who brought the item back attached to his car roof rack. Back on the cycling path, Greg savors this happy ending: "It’s the first time I’ve ridden it since I recovered it." Alongside him, his friend Didier celebrates the return of a true "miracle." The bike was moreover returned in impeccable condition, meticulously protected by the Moroccan commissioner himself, who found it magnificent.
