Spanish Influencer Challenges Stereotypes About Morocco After Extensive Travel

A Spanish content creator has shared his travel experience in Morocco on TikTok, deconstructing certain prejudices about Morocco and Moroccans.
In a video posted on TikTok, Nacho Barrueco said upfront that before going to Morocco, he had a number of prejudices about the kingdom, particularly in terms of security. "I arrived with some prejudices, like the fact that after X hours, you can no longer go out in the street, that it’s dangerous, etc.," he said.
But after traveling the kingdom from one end to the other, his perception has radically changed: "I traveled all over Morocco. At no time did I feel like saying to myself: ’Oh shit, it’s dangerous, oh shit, this guy wants to do something to me...’ It’s quite the opposite."
The Spanish content creator says he was pleasantly surprised by the hospitality and generosity of Moroccans, people who are willing to help selflessly, he testified, urging his followers to rethink the perception they have of Moroccans living in Spain. "I think 90% of Moroccans in Spain are like here in Morocco: humble, hardworking and helpful," he affirmed.
Barrueco did not fail to exhort his subscribers to visit and discover Morocco, "a beautiful country". The video of the Spanish influencer has sparked a debate on social media about preconceived ideas about Morocco.
