Spice Girl Mel B to Host Exotic Moroccan Wedding Celebration After London Nuptials

Three years after announcing her engagement, British singer, dancer and actress Melanie Brown, alias Mel B, 50, and Rory McPhee, a 37-year-old hairdresser and co-founder of several salons, will tie the knot at St Paul’s Cathedral in London this weekend. The couple will then hold another wedding ceremony - at a hotel in Morocco later in July. Mel will wear a dress designed by American wedding dress designer Justin Alexander for this occasion, reports the Daily Mail. The couple started dating in 2018. But the relationship became more serious when Mel returned to the UK in 2019, after the Spice Girls reunion tour.

Rory is a friend of Mel’s family. "He was my cousin’s best friend, so he was already part of my family, which meant there was already that foundation of trust and security, which, when you come out of an abusive relationship, you trust no one, you don’t even trust yourself, you don’t even trust your own opinions, it can take years to rebuild," the singer said on Elizabeth Day’s How To Fail podcast last year. The one who was once married to celebrities reveals how a hairdresser managed to win her heart. She recounts that Rory was tasked with fixing her curls after a failed hair treatment: "They were short. So when I came back to England, [McPhee] came to do my hair and got my natural curls back."

She will add: "And as he nourished my curls, I suppose he nourished my trust and belief in a relationship."
