Spanish Vice President Iglesias Excluded from Morocco Trip Due to COVID Restrictions

The second vice president of the Spanish government, Pablo Iglesias, will not be part of Pedro Sánchez’s delegation, expected in Morocco on December 17.
We know a little more about the reasons that justify the absence of Pablo Iglesias from Sánchez’s delegation, at least officially. According to EFE, the restrictions imposed by the kingdom due to the coronavirus would be at the origin of this decision and not his pro-Polisario position.
The same sources specify that only the ministers, signatories of a series of agreements with their Moroccan counterparts, will be part of the delegation expected in Rabat.
During this high-level visit, the two heads of the Moroccan and Spanish governments will discuss several issues, including the migration and Moroccan Sahara files.
