Spanish Soccer Federation Investigates Racist Chants Against Inaki Williams

The Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) announced on Wednesday the opening of an investigation after the racist insults directed at Athletic Bilbao striker Inaki Williams last weekend during a Spanish championship match.
It all started with the racist chants launched by part of the public against Bilbao striker Williams, born in the Basque Country, of Ghanaian parents, during this match between RCD Espanyol and Athletic Club, counting for the 21st day of Liga, last Saturday.
The images provided by the Movistar la Liga channel made it possible to note that the player was targeted by individuals when he left the field, near the corner post, in the 70th minute of the match.
The incident was immediately condemned by the two teams, the RFEF and the Football League, indicates the same source. The Spanish Football Federation had considered that these behaviors were of "extreme gravity".
Furthermore, "12 individuals", including nine club members, were identified on Monday by the Espanyol club as the authors of the cries. It also adds that it has submitted a report to its disciplinary commission as well as to the police.
