Spanish Shipbuilder Navantia to Begin Construction of Moroccan Navy Patrol Vessel in July

Navantia San Fernando will launch the construction work of the high-altitude patrol boat ordered by Morocco as early as this summer, more precisely in July.
The construction of a patrol boat for the Royal Moroccan Navy is one of the latest contracts concluded by the Spanish shipbuilding industry. The work can start in July in the San Fernando branch of Navantia, located in the Bay of Cadiz, reports Radio La Isla.
The cutting of the steel of the new patrol boat intended for Morocco should take place, now that the workload has decreased in recent weeks on this site, the first batch of "Unayzah" corvettes for Saudi Arabia being almost completed.
The construction of this high-altitude patrol boat for Morocco will take one million man-hours and create some 250 jobs over three and a half years, according to the president of the works council of the San Fernando branch.
