Spanish Prosecutors Oppose Release of Intelligence Reports in Polisario Leader Case

The prosecution of the National High Court does not wish the National Intelligence Center (CNI) to transmit to the court a copy of the confidential reports on Morocco and Brahim Ghali, as requested by the defense of the Polisario Front leader.
The prosecution is not interested in these CNI reports which would prove the fallacious nature of the complaint against the Sahrawi leader, as this evidence is not relevant, said sources from the investigating court to La Razon. Judge Santiago Pedraz will have to decide whether he aligns himself with the position of the prosecution or whether he will go against it and demand these reports that call into question the sincerity of Fadel Breica’s complaint, suspected of working for the Moroccan intelligence services.
The same sources explain that it is unlikely that these classified documents will be made available to the justice system, even if exceptions can be made as in the Pegasus case. According to the CNI reports dated May 18 and June 24, drawn up during the crisis between Morocco and Spain, Morocco would have deployed a double "judicial and media" strategy to "harass" Brahim Ghali.
This is why Ghali’s lawyer, Manuel Ollé, wants these documents to be taken into account. Documents that would prove that Breica, who accused Ghali of torture in the Tindouf camps, would be under the orders of the Moroccan intelligence services. Allegations flatly rejected by Breica, who denies having any relationship with Morocco.
