Moroccan Exodus: Spanish Beaches Lure Vacationers Fleeing Coastal Chaos at Home

More and more Moroccans prefer to spend their summer vacations on the Spanish beaches, far from the anarchy of umbrella and chair rentals on Moroccan beaches.
The number of Moroccans visiting Spain during the summer season continues to increase year after year. Moroccan tourists prefer to spend their summer vacations on the beaches located in the south of the peninsula, as well as in other coastal regions such as Catalonia and Valencia.
Some Moroccan vacationers are abandoning their country for Spain due to the chaos that reigns on Moroccan beaches, particularly those in the north of the kingdom. The beaches of the Andalusia region, more precisely in the south of Spain, are experiencing a strong presence of Moroccans. Anyone strolling on these beaches will be surprised by the number of Moroccan families there, as well as the number of cars with Moroccan license plates in the surrounding parking lots.
Moroccan families find themselves "in one of the seaside resorts, often on the Costa del Sol, where they spend their holidays together at a lower cost," according to the same sources. Other families of Moroccans residing abroad (MRE) from Belgium, the Netherlands, France and Germany, among others, "opt for quiet vacations on comfortable beaches at reasonable prices," avoiding the anarchy of umbrella rentals on Moroccan beaches.
