Spanish Police Seize 1,500 Kilos of Moroccan Hashish in Truck Smuggling Operation

A truck from Morocco has just been intercepted in the Seville region, and more precisely in Carmona. It contained, hidden in a false bottom, 1,500 kilograms of hashish. For the police, it’s a great catch.
In a statement from the Spanish National Police published on April 23, the Spanish authorities announced the arrest of the driver of a truck that was transporting drugs from Morocco, in the false bottom of a container, as well as the continuation of the investigations in order to identify and arrest the rest of the members of the criminal organization involved.
The drugs had been placed in 280 packages of different shapes and sizes containing a total of 1,500 kilos of hashish. It was intended to be sold in Spain but also on the international market, according to the same source.
According to the National Police: "this container had been loaded at the port of Algeciras from Morocco". And the distance between Algeciras and Carmona, the site of the great catch, is more than 200 kilometers.
The driver, whose nationality has not been revealed, was arrested and taken into custody and the investigation is continuing in an attempt to get hold of any accomplices of this drug trafficking network.
