Spanish Police Bust Moroccan Document Forgery Ring in Salamanca

The Spanish police have dismantled a network based in Salamanca, specializing in fraud and document forgery for Moroccan candidates for illegal immigration.
The network, based in Salamanca, has made a fortune by providing fake documents to Moroccan immigrants. The service was billed between 250 and 400 euros per document. The immigration candidates then used these forged documents to obtain various official documents issued by the public administration such as residence permits.
During the investigation, it was found at the immigration office in Salamanca that an unusual number of administrative procedures had been initiated by Moroccan nationals who all curiously presented registration certificates issued by the same property.
According to police sources, the majority of those who have benefited from the network’s services "do not even intend to reside in Spain". Thus, as soon as they manage to obtain, for example, financial assistance, they return to their country of origin, while continuing to receive the aid.
In total, eleven people were arrested by the police, mostly Moroccans. They will soon be brought before the investigating court in Salamanca.
