Spanish Police Bust Major UK-Morocco Hashish Smuggling Ring in Marbella

On Friday, August 30, the Spanish police carried out a new crackdown that led to the dismantling of a drug trafficking network transporting hashish from Morocco to the Malaga region, in southern Spain. Four Britons were arrested during the operation.
According to the information reported by El faro de Ceuta, the traffickers were transporting their goods on board a pleasure boat that allowed them to make the trip between the Moroccan coast and that of Marbella.
The loot of the operation is not negligible: four Britons were arrested, 100,000 euros in cash as well as 51 packets containing hashish, or 1500 kilos that were hidden in a double bottom they had installed in the hull of the boat, were also seized.
The Spanish newspaper, citing Spanish authorities, claims that the investigations carried out allowed the agents to identify the network leaders who are all British, residing in the Guadalmina region of Marbella.
