Spanish Police Bust Human Trafficking Ring Exploiting Moroccan Migrants

A Romanian network has just been dismantled by the Spanish police. It exploited illegal migrants, mostly Moroccans, whom they "sold" for the sum of 3,000 euros.
Originally from Morocco, Moldova, Romania, Ukraine and other North and sub-Saharan African countries, the victims of this exploitation, mostly from Morocco, are "sold" to Spanish farmers for an average income of 30,000 dirhams per month, reports the Spanish press agency EFE.
Once the immigrants arrive in Spain, the members of the network seize their identity papers, herd them into slums, in deplorable conditions, with a ban and threat, to contact foreigners, and especially to go out. Under close surveillance, they are forced to work on Spanish farms, several hours a day, for a few euros to survive, the same source pointed out, based on statements from security officials.
The exploitation network would be an organization linked to networks specializing in human trafficking and having a headquarters in Vega Del Guadalquivir in Seville, indicates the daily Assabah. The search of three houses and an office allowed the seizure of documents which confirmed that the network of exploitation of Moroccans organizes this traffic, in partnership with an illegal immigration network led by a Romanian.
In addition, the network had a local advisory office facilitating the procedures for falsifying documents for money transfers. During the health crisis, and faced with the great need for foreign labor by Spanish farmers, the company’s activities have experienced strong growth.
