Spanish Police Arrest Organizer of Anti-LGBTI Party at Moroccan Club

The Spanish police have arrested the organizer of a private party in a Moroccan club prohibited to members of the LGBTI community.
It all started with a poster announcing the organization of a private party in a Moroccan club in Torremolinos (Málaga), Casa Fátima Ino, also known as the "Luxury Moroccan Club" on Saturday, January 18. "No fights, no drugs, no caps, no flip-flops, no fags," the poster said. Access to the club is therefore prohibited to homosexuals. On the web, the club does not hesitate to describe members of the LGBTI community as "sick" in several publications. Enough to shock the mayor of this municipality, Margarita del Cid (PP), as well as several associations who filed a complaint against the organizer of the party.
On Monday, the Málaga Prosecutor’s Office said it was investigating the club organizing the event for a possible offense of refusal of service (Article 512 of the Penal Code) and another possible offense against the dignity of the LGBTI community. In the wake of this, the mayor filed a new complaint. She claims to have received insults via private messages on her Instagram account. According to Del Cid, the party organizers would have called her a "bitch" and accused her of supporting "fags, transsexuals and the sick".
On Tuesday, the police arrested the 38-year-old organizer of the party on suspicion of a crime of public incitement to hatred. After exercising his right not to make a statement, the man was released under judicial supervision.
