Spanish Police Arrest Moroccan Man Suspected of ISIS Recruitment in Alicante

The Spanish Civil Guard has arrested a Moroccan national in Altea (Alicante). He would be involved in recruitment for the account of the "Terrorist Organization of Daesh".
Aged 50 and in an irregular situation in Spain, the Moroccan defendant is a "militant by vocation of the Daesh Terrorist Organization", the Spanish Civil Guard said in a statement.
To avoid falling into the net of the security forces, he acted in a very strict way to carry out his activities. The individual proceeds to identify the targeted people on social networks and then redirects them to private messaging applications.
His goal was to deepen the radicalization process and provide, especially young people, with digital content from the Terrorist Organization. The suspect "spent a large part of his time searching, editing, commenting and disseminating propaganda material from the Islamic State," the Civil Guard added.
Thanks to the operation carried out by the Civil Guard and Europol, the activities of the Moroccan national were identified and led to his arrest.
