Spanish Police Arrest Moroccan Man in Basque Country for Suspected Jihadist Recruitment

The police arrested on Wednesday in Gernika (Basque Country) a Moroccan accused of jihadist indoctrination. The defendant had been living in Biscay for several years and was in an irregular administrative situation.
The Moroccan had been under surveillance for several years by the police intelligence services in charge of the fight against jihadist terrorism. According to the agents, he lived with other people and led a "normal life". He was very discreet, according to his neighbors, and is not currently working.
After his arrest, the agents seized a large sum of money as well as his computer at his home, which would contain execution videos and various digital documents in which he explains, among other things, how to stab a person to death, indicate sources consulted by Diario Vasco.
Accused of jihadist indoctrination, the Moroccan was made available to the National Court. In recent years, the security forces have carried out several operations against jihadist indoctrination in the Basque Country. Several individuals, presumed jihadists, were arrested in Bilbao and Vitoria in 2016 and 2017.
