Spanish Police Arrest Moroccan Fugitive Wanted for Human Trafficking

The Spanish police arrested, this Thursday, a Moroccan fugitive wanted since 2020 by the Moroccan justice, for "the offense of illegal immigration, organization, association with a criminal group".
According to the Spanish police sources cited by Europa Press, the individual, under an international arrest warrant issued by Morocco, was arrested at the bus station in Almería, in the south of the country.
The suspect was identified thanks to the identification procedure of persons and travelers "carried out at random by the Spanish national police", they specified, indicating that he risks a prison sentence of 20 years. He was made available to the investigating judge in Spain to be heard.
Furthermore, a dozen fugitives targeted by international arrest warrants since the beginning of the year have been located and arrested in the province of Almeira. They are notably wanted by Morocco, Romania, Albania and Italy.
