Spanish Opposition Seeks Inquiry into Polisario Leader’s Controversial Entry

The spokeswoman for the Popular Party (PP) in Congress, Cuca Gamarra, announced that her parliamentary group will file a request to create a commission of inquiry to shed light on Brahim Ghali’s entry into Spain.
The Popular Party wants to know everything about the conditions of the entry into Spain, last April, of the leader of the Polisario Front. That is why the party intends to file a request for the creation of a commission of inquiry in Congress shortly, reports RTVE.

For the PP spokeswoman in Congress, Cuca Gamarra, "the reality is that the instructions came from above", adding that this commission of inquiry will make it possible to know the person responsible for Ghali’s entry into a hospital in Logroño under a false identity. "Every day, doubts about the role of the Moncloa and the role of the La Rioja government in the Ghali case are multiplying," she said.

The PP has questioned the government on this file after the judge of the Zaragoza court in charge of the Ghali case, Rafael Lasala, summoned the former Minister of Foreign Affairs, Arancha González Laya, whose name was mentioned by Camilo Villarino during his appearance in early September before the same judge, to clarify his participation in this case.
