Spanish Man Arrested for Impersonating Moroccan in Driver’s License Exam Fraud

The Civil Guard of Guadalajara (Castilla-La Mancha) has arrested a Spaniard accused of having usurped the identity of a Moroccan in the written part of the driving license exam. The latter was also arrested.
The 37-year-old Spaniard was arrested after agents from the Traffic Analysis and Investigation Group (GIAT) found, during the identity document check of the exam candidates, that the national identity card presented by the latter bore the photo of another person.
In order not to disrupt the exam process, the agents waited until the end of the tests to confirm that the identity document presented by the accused belonged to a 36-year-old Moroccan, who was regularly registered to take the exam. The Spaniard had therefore presented himself in the exam room to take the test in place of the Moroccan.
The Civil Guard decided to prosecute the two parties before the competent court of Guadalajara, for the alleged offenses of identity usurpation and false documents.
