Spanish Lawyer Arrested for Forging Immigration Documents for Moroccan Workers

The Spanish police have arrested a lawyer registered with the Melilla bar for having falsified the seal of the Spanish consulate in Nador, which he affixed to the residence and work permits of two Moroccan women, allegedly domestic workers.
The lawyer was arrested on July 2 as the alleged perpetrator of the crimes of producing false documents and violating the rights of foreign nationals. His arrest follows an investigation by the UCRIF, after he filed with the Foreigners’ Office the application files for residence and work permits for two Moroccan nationals containing forged documents.
The documents presented bear the seal of the Spanish consulate in Nador, certifying that the two Moroccan women appeared before the consular officials. But this is not the case. The documents were forged. They were falsified by the lawyer who wanted to help his Moroccan clients, allegedly domestic workers, to obtain their residence and work permits in order to live in Spain, Morocco having closed its borders since March 2020 for health reasons.
