Spanish Gaming Giant Cirsa Expands in Morocco, Takes Over Tangier Casino

After recording excellent results in the first half of the year, the Spanish giant of gaming and leisure Cirsa is expanding its presence in Morocco.
Cirsa recorded a half-year operating result of 778.4 million euros, an increase of 92.7% compared to the first half of 2021, reports Casino.org. Buoyed by this result, the Spanish gaming and leisure giant has decided to expand its presence in Morocco and Italy. In this sense, it has recently concluded two new agreements. It has thus taken over the management of the Tangier casino, which brings the number of casinos operated in the kingdom to three. In Morocco, it already operates the Atlantic and Le Mirage casinos, located in the tourist city of Agadir, which reopened in May after a two-year closure due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
With an area of 2,000 square meters (21,527 square feet) spread over three floors, the Tangier Casino is part of the Mövenpick Hotel & Casino Malabata complex. It offers 215 slot machines and more than 25 tables. Cirsa will operate the casino under a management contract. In Italy, the company has acquired 60% of the Italian online gaming and sports betting company Eplay24.
