Spanish Eyewear Retailer Opticalia Expands in Morocco with €750,000 Investment
Cofides will allocate 750,000 euros in the form of a loan to Opticalia to strengthen its subsidiary in Morocco. Specialized in the purchase, sale and distribution of optical items and sunglasses, the group has been present in the kingdom since 2020.
Cofides will make this amount available to Opticalia as part of a public-private partnership. The resources will be used to develop its business plan, which includes carrying out advertising campaigns in Morocco, where the optical market is booming.
This is the third time that Cofides has supported Opticalia on a foreign investment project, after having supported it in the development of its subsidiaries in Colombia and Mexico, reports El Economista.
"We are very pleased to collaborate again with Opticalia in its growth process abroad and to contribute to strengthening its position, competitiveness and innovation capacity," said José Luis Curbelo, the president of Cofides.
Opticalia’s Chief Financial Officer, Marta Alonso, in turn thanked Cofides for its "constant support" to the group in its international expansion projects. "Cofides’ ability to believe in our projects and adapt to our needs makes it our best financial partner," she added.
