Spanish Beach Chaos: Drug Traffickers Crash onto Crowded Shore in High-Speed Police Chase

In Spain, Moroccan cannabis traffickers chased by the Spanish coast guard ended up stranded on a beach, to the amazement of tourists. Two of them were arrested, while the others managed to escape.
The tourists witnessed on Monday a scene worthy of an American action movie on a crowded beach called Los Enebrales in Punta Umbria, in the province of Huelva, in southwestern Spain, near the border with Portugal. In a video, we see drug traffickers heading towards the sand at full speed, narrowly avoiding the parasols from which sunbathers had hastily moved away as they rushed through the dunes. They are being chased by the police who were asking their colleagues by radio to send intervention vehicles.
Subsequently, the traffickers jumped out of the boat, a "narcolancha" used to smuggle cannabis from Morocco to Spain. Two of them were arrested, but the others managed to escape. The abandoned boat left on the sand and abandoned was empty, reports Daily Mail, adding that the traffickers were waiting for a call to go and pick up an illegal drug cargo on board a larger ship located further offshore before being spotted by the police. The latter was seen inside the boat cutting the engine under the gaze of tourists and residents.
Similar incidents have occurred on the country’s beaches in recent years. In 2018, a high-speed chase between a police helicopter and a suspected drug trafficker took place at sea, on a beach in Manilva, near Estepona. Some tourists were filmed running to save their lives. They were afraid the high-speed boat would crash onto the beach and into the crowd. In September 2019, vacationers witnessed a similar scene. A group of drug traffickers, in broad daylight, near the resort town of Estepona, were transporting cannabis resin from a fast boat to a 4x4 vehicle parked on the shore.
