Spain Warns of Rising Sahrawi Recruitment by ISIS in Sahel Region

The arrival in the ranks of Daesh of Sahrawis from the Lahmada camps is becoming very worrying, warns the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation.
Faced with the increase in the recruitment of Sahrawis from the Tindouf camps by terrorist groups, particularly Daesh operating in the Sahel, the Director General of Foreign Policy and Security within the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs is alerting the Spanish Ministry of the Interior and the US embassy in Madrid to the consequences of this recruitment.
The activism of the most wanted terrorist in Africa, a gang leader trained by the Polisario in Tindouf, is the main reason for this "red alert" launched by Spain, reports Le360, stating that he could take advantage of the Polisario’s slowdown in the Lahmada camp, where no one is interested in his campaign, to recruit as many young people as possible into the ranks of Daesh.
Last December, in view of what was happening in the Tindouf camps, Spain had asked its nationals to avoid the Sahrawi camps, at the risk of being victims of Daesh attacks and kidnappings in the "Greater Sahara".
To recall, Daesh is a very active terrorist group in Mali and Burkina Faso, led by Adnan Abou Walid Al Sahraoui, born in Laâyoune in 1972, under the name of Ladib Bachir. Trained by the Polisario in Tindouf, before joining Al Qaeda and Mujao, he is now the leader of Daesh in the Sahel.
