Spain Seeks Israeli PULS Rocket Technology, Following Morocco’s Acquisition

The Spanish Ministry of Defense wants to ask the Israeli company Elbit Systems for the transfer of manufacturing technology for the PULS (Precise and Universal Launching Systems) rocket launcher, already acquired by the Royal Moroccan Armed Forces.
The Spanish companies Escribano and Expal have concluded an agreement with the Israeli company Elbit for the transfer of technology to manufacture the PULS in Spain as part of the Silam program, confirm military sources to La Razón. Escribano will provide the mechanical, hydraulic and electronic elements of the launcher, while Expal will ensure the development of the rockets. Other companies like GMV will participate in this project.
A video released in May shows the Royal Moroccan Army deploying this rocket launcher during an exercise, with three launchers, an ammunition vehicle and a mobile command post, mounted on 6x6 trucks from the Czech company Tatra. A major rival to the American HIMARS defense system, the Israeli PULS has already been acquired by other countries such as the Netherlands or Romania.
The PULS is a modern rocket launcher, with optimal precision and responsiveness. It has a range of up to 300 km and can fire a variety of ammunition from the same position. The system is increasingly in demand by "armed forces looking to increase their effectiveness," said Yehuda (Udi) Vered, CEO of Elbit System Land.
