Spain’s Sanchez Pledges Support for Ceuta Amid Migrant Minor Crisis

The President of the Spanish Government, Pedro Sanchez, has committed to providing more resources to Ceuta in order to facilitate the return of minors to Morocco. In the meantime, the operation has been suspended by the Ceuta justice system, which ruled that it was carried out in violation of the current regulations.
The President of the Spanish Government, aware that "the situation of the minors is untenable" for Ceuta and that the latter are living on the streets and in unacceptable conditions in the centers, has agreed to provide more resources to the authorities of the city to accelerate the return of minors to Morocco. This is the statement made by the President of the Autonomous City, Juan Jesús Vivas, following the meeting he had with Pedro Sánchez, according to La Sexta.

Sanchez assured Vivas that all the means and resources of the State will be put to use to facilitate the return of these minors to Morocco. But it all depends on the justice system, which has suspended the operation because the procedures were not followed.
During his appearance before the Ceuta court, Vivas defended the Minister of the Interior, Fernando Grande-Marlaska, stating that it was not he who "personally activated" the operation. According to him, it was a matter of State and a common and coordinated action was taken.
