Spain’s Moroccan Fruit and Vegetable Imports Surge 54% to €469 Million

Spanish imports of Moroccan fruits and vegetables have continued to rise over the past six years, going from 304 to 469 million euros in 2021, an increase of 54%.
Morocco is the main country supplying fruits and vegetables to Spain with 469 million euros in 2021 against 304 million the previous year, an increase of 54%. It is followed by France, with 119 million euros (+6%) and Peru, with 100 million euros (-9%), according to data from the Department of Customs and Special Taxes processed by FEPEX.
Spanish imports of fruits and vegetables also come from Portugal with 70 million euros from January to April (+8%), Costa Rica with 65 million (+7%) and the Netherlands with 60 million (+4%).
