Spain Lifts PCR Test Requirement for Moroccan Travelers Amid Declining COVID Cases

Morocco is no longer among the high-risk countries that must present the results of a PCR test upon arrival in Spain. The recent declines in active cases are behind this decision.
Good news for Moroccan travelers to Spain. They will now be able to travel to the Iberian neighbor until January 24 without presenting a negative PCR test. According to a statement available on the Facebook page of the Spanish Embassy in Morocco, this decision was made in accordance with the resolution of the Directorate General of Public Health of November 11, 2020.
The embassy also recalls that this list is reviewed every two weeks based on the cumulative incidence of infections per 100,000 inhabitants.
Last November, it had decided to impose a fine of up to 3,000 euros on any tourist who would find themselves on its territory without a PCR test less than 72 hours old.
This Tuesday, January 12, the kingdom recorded some 801 cases of coronavirus infection, 17 deaths and 1,345 recovered patients.
