Spain’s Far-Right Vox Party Urges Sanctions on Morocco Over Migrant Surge in Ceuta

The far-right party Vox has called on the Spanish government to sanction Morocco for allegedly "allowing the arrival of dozens of illegal immigrants" via Ceuta, in retaliation for Spain’s hosting of the Polisario leader, Brahim Ghali.
The Vox party has questioned the government about the situation of the many Moroccans who tried to reach Spain via Ceuta last weekend, local media reports, noting that these mass immigration attempts come after the announcement of the presence on Spanish soil of the Polisario leader, Brahim Ghali, admitted to a hospital in the Saragossa region.
To prevent such events in the future, the president of the Vox party in Ceuta, Juan Sergio Redondo, has called on the Spanish government to "deploy more security forces on the land and sea borders with Morocco." The far-right party, considering that the Moroccan authorities "have abandoned their missions in border control and their own citizens," also demands that "international pressure be exerted on Morocco to prevent human rights and international law violations."
The Moroccan authorities had protested against Madrid’s attitude in hosting the Polisario leader, Brahim Ghali, on its territory, considering it unfriendly. The Foreign Minister has already summoned the Spanish ambassador to Rabat to ask him for explanations on this matter.
