Spain Expels Moroccan Migrants After Violent Clashes at Ceuta Port

The Spanish authorities have decided to act firmly and, above all, very quickly. 24 hours after the clashes that took place at the Port of Ceuta between Moroccan migrants and the security forces, Spain has just announced the immediate expulsion of the troublemakers.
"The Delegation of the Government of Ceuta has announced today that the Moroccan migrants who participated in the serious clashes at the Port of Ceuta last night have been transferred to Morocco under the law on foreigners," reports the local website, El Faro, de Ceuta.
The delegation does not give the exact number of Moroccans who have been transferred to their country of origin. But the day before, 36 of them had been arrested, the minors, who would be 15 in number, having been transferred to centers while the immediate transfer of the adults to Morocco had been mentioned.
The day before, about sixty Moroccans had entered the restricted area of the Port of Ceuta, surprising the lone security guard on site. They then attacked the Guardia Civil agents (of which at least two posts are located at the Port) causing several injuries. They reportedly threw stones and other projectiles at them, according to the local press.
It should be noted that four Moroccans were placed in detention and are being prosecuted for disobedience and attack on a person holding public authority.
