Spain Deports Two Moroccans, Including Imam, Over Alleged Extremism

Spain has expelled to Morocco two Moroccans, including an imam, aged 68 and 32, due to their alleged involvement in cases of religious extremism and apology for terrorism.
Spain is trying to eradicate extremist discourse and promote a moderate Islam in the country in order to facilitate the integration of Muslims into society, in compliance with the constitution which guarantees religious freedom, reports Mundo Islam.
Radical Islamic currents promote the radicalization processes of Muslims and constitute a national threat to Spain, as they are sometimes linked to jihadist terrorism and disseminate messages contrary to constitutional principles.
Morocco and Spain are developing good cooperation in the fight against terrorism. In this framework, the two countries have simplified the expulsion procedures.
