Spain Deports Moroccan Man Convicted of Online Jihadist Recruitment

The Spanish justice system has expelled a Moroccan sentenced to two years in prison in Morocco for inciting the commission of terrorist attacks on social networks.
The Moroccan was arrested on March 31 in Basauri (Biscay) by agents of the General Information Commissariat in collaboration with Moroccan intelligence services. He is accused of having called for terrorist actions against people and institutions in Morocco, reports EFE.
The accused disseminated extremely serious and violent threat messages and videos on his social networks which were read and viewed by more than 20,000 subscribers. He incited the commission of violent actions against Moroccans, in particular against pro-Moroccan Sahrawis.

According to some press in Morocco, the detainee would have been a member of the Polisario since the 1990s. He was brought before the investigating judge who ordered his detention. But a month ago, this decision was replaced by his expulsion from Spain.
The Court of First Instance of Casablanca had already sentenced the Moroccan to 2 years in prison and the payment of a fine of 1,000 dirhams for "attack on the internal security of the State" and "incitement to hatred and to commit crimes against institutions".
