Spain Denies Rumors of Ceuta and Melilla Co-Sovereignty Deal with Morocco

Vox Ceuta denounces the silence of the government of Pedro Sanchez after the statements of the analyst Fernando Cocho on a possible co-sovereignty of Ceuta and Melilla with Morocco.
In response to the question of Vox senator from Ceuta, Yolanda Merelo, who wanted to know if there is an agreement between Spain and Morocco for a co-sovereignty of Ceuta and Melilla, the Spanish government simply indicated that it is a "personal opinion" of Fernando Cocho and assured that it "firmly defends the territorial integrity of Spain", as it had indicated after the statements of the former minister of the Spanish socialist party (PSOE), María Antonia Trujillo, calling for the annexation of the two autonomous cities to Morocco.
The Spanish Executive seized the opportunity to reassure. The president of Vox Ceuta, Juan Sergio Redondo, recalls that "silence means consent", and that the government should have reacted after the publication of this information in the media, causing some concern among a large part of the population of Ceuta. "The Executive has a duty to respond to the political representatives of Ceuta and to dispel any doubt in this regard. But with this response, it is clear that they do not want to do so," criticizes Redondo.
