Spain Continues Repatriation of Stranded Moroccans and Spaniards from Morocco

The repatriation of Spaniards and Moroccans Residing Abroad (MREs) stranded in Morocco continues. The shipping company Baleària has scheduled two new crossings on August 28 and 29.
In a tweet, the Spanish Embassy in Morocco announced that these two repatriations come after those of last Thursday, August 20, and next Tuesday, August 25, departing from Tanger Med.
According to Baleària, these two crossings concern both passengers traveling without a car and passengers with vehicles registered in the European Union, stranded in Morocco due to the closure of borders because of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Regarding the two departures, the Spanish shipping company plans to leave the port of Tanger-Med at 2:00 p.m., for a disembarkation at the port of Algeciras around 8:00 p.m. Wearing a mask is mandatory on board the ferry in order to curb any spread of the virus during the crossing.
In addition, passengers wishing to purchase a ticket are invited to go to the company’s website to fill out a registration form no later than August 24 at 10 a.m. As for the payment, it will be made online only, by credit card.
