Spain Condemns Polisario Protesters’ Attack on Moroccan Consulate in Valencia

Spain denounces and "categorically condemns" the acts of vandalism committed by members of the Polisario in front of the Moroccan Consulate General in Valencia. These acts come after the intervention of the Royal Armed Forces in Guerguerat.
In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the European Union and Cooperation expressed its outrage at this attack on the sovereignty and integrity of Morocco. Some claiming to be from the Polisario gained access to the consulate building in an attempt to place the flag of the "rasd" there. According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, "no demonstration exercised within the framework of the right of assembly can degenerate into illegal actions, like the attempt perpetrated this Sunday, which constitutes a flagrant violation of the legislation in force," reports the MAP.
Faced with these acts that undermine the security of diplomatic missions in Spain, the government announced that it has initiated investigations, has all the relevant information in order to take the necessary measures to "ensure respect for the integrity and inviolability of diplomatic missions accredited in the country".
The Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs stresses that "Spain firmly condemns any action that undermines the principles and values of the Vienna Conventions on Diplomatic and Consular Relations of 1961 and 1963, of which it is a party and a firm guarantor," the same source indicates.
