Spaniards stranded in Morocco due to the coronavirus pandemic will finally be able to return home. The Spanish embassy in Morocco has chartered two new Tangier-Malaga ships for their repatriation.

Good news for Spaniards in Morocco. Two new ships, departing from Morocco, are dedicated to them. The embassy announced this Monday, new trips from Tanger Med to Malaga. The departures of the new ships are scheduled for May 28 and June 4, for citizens without a vehicle. The Spanish embassy in Morocco has dispelled the doubts hanging over the boat trip from Tangier to Malaga by confirming the trip scheduled for May 22 for Spaniards stranded in Morocco.

The May 22 trip, which is exclusively reserved for Spaniards or residents in Spain by car, is provided by a Balearia ferry. The cars must be registered within the European Union, details the Spanish embassy. For the departure this Friday, pending the communication of registration details for pedestrians and new passengers with vehicles, the embassy informs that the ship will depart at 2:30 pm. Its capacity is 650 passengers and 350 vehicles. The ship has all the necessary amenities to ensure a good trip for the passengers, reports El Faro de Ceuta.

The departure of the Tangier-Malaga boat this Friday is open to passengers of Spanish nationality or holders of a residence permit in Spain who have made a reservation. Wearing a mask is mandatory on board the ship. Once in Spain, all travelers will automatically be placed in quarantine for 14 days, in accordance with the decision of the Spanish government, as part of the fight against the coronavirus, specified the Spanish embassy in Rabat.
