Spain Backs Morocco’s Sahara Plan, Boosting Joint Efforts on Migration Control

The Minister of the Presidency, Relations with the Courts and Democratic Memory, Félix Bolaños, assured on Saturday that Spain’s support for Morocco’s autonomy plan for the Sahara will strengthen police cooperation between the two countries in the fight against illegal immigration.
This new stage in relations with Morocco will bring stability because "we need bilateral agreements to work on common problems," Bolaños said at a press conference. For the minister, Spain will now maintain a better relationship with Morocco, "a stable relationship" in which the kingdom "commits to collaborate in the fight against illegal immigration and human trafficking".
