Spain Arrests Moroccan Drug Lord Wanted by France for Two Years

Last Saturday, the arrest in Elche, in eastern Spain, of a Moroccan drug trafficker was reported by the Spanish National Police. This seems to fulfill the expectations of the French authorities who had been looking for him for more than two years.
The arrest of this Moroccan drug trafficker is a relief for the French police who had been trying to track him down for more than two years.
A press release relayed by the EFE agency and several other Iberian media states that the 41-year-old Moroccan trafficker was arrested during a police check as he was heading to Morocco by car to continue evading French justice.
It was only later that the police realized that "the man had been the subject, since May 2017, of an arrest and extradition warrant issued by the French authorities, for drug trafficking".
